Eby-Brown, the $4.1 billion leading US convenience store supplier of more than 16,000 name-brand and private label products, spends $3.9 million per year on corrugated boxes. When their two-year contract was up for renewal, they decided to collaborate with TradingPartners to lower costs and expedite the purchasing process.
During the three week project, nine suppliers (out of a 59 identified) met all qualifications set forth by Eby-Brown and were invited to quote. The event lasted just over an hour and generated 195 bids. The final results showed an 18.18% saving, amounting to $1.4 million saved over two years.

We were convinced that working with TradingPartners would be the best solution and we were right. The identified savings of $1.4 million exceeded our expectations. The project was kicked off and implemented much quicker than we expected, which resulted in additional man-hour savings.“
