ASDA Presents Leadership Award to TradingPartners
Fully managed eAuction service provider recognised for cost-saving programs conducted in 2009
LONDON, UK March, 3 2010 -- ASDA, the U.K. retail chain owned by Walmart, has awarded a prestigious supplier Leadership Award to TradingPartners, the eAuction People.
The Leadership Award presenter, Emma Fox, ASDA’s Commercial Director of Frozen, BWS & Grocery stated that it is given to the supplier who best connects with the changing needs of the customer and market . “TradingPartners won for being a true ‘Operate For Less’ business. They have focused on unlocking customer benefits from a changing commodities market with a mantra of better, simpler, cheaper, faster," she said.
Since ASDA became a client in 2009, TradingPartners has managed more than 60 eAuctions in multiple categories, identifying millions in savings for the company.

The award was presented as part of the ASDA Trade Briefing 2010. This annual, one-day event and conference, coordinated by IGD is designed to tell suppliers what they need to know to trade successfully with ASDA in the year ahead. With over 1,700 delegates in attendance, the 2010 event was the largest to date.
