TradingPartners eAuction saves UK Public Sector 26% on Mobile Phones
First Aggregated eAuction brings cost savings to government through collaboration
LONDON, UK July 30, 2010 – TradingPartners, The eAuction People, ran a successful English reverse auction for two public sector organisations as part of the new Aggregated eAuction Programme. The Programme, first launched in June 2010, runs in partnership with Buying Solutions. It is designed to address the Coalition Government’s immediate requirements for the centralised procurement of goods and services in an effort to eliminate inefficiencies and waste.
The first Aggregated eAuction took place on Monday, 26 July for a collaborative Mobile Phone contract. In just over an hour the three participating suppliers placed 15 bids, ultimately securing 26% savings on the four year sim only contract worth over £1M. The participating organisations were very pleased with the result and will hold further implementation discussions with the winning supplier over the course of the following weeks.
