TradingPartners Sponsors Children's Memorial Hospital Fundraiser

As a premier corporate sponsor of the Snowball 2010 Event, TradingPartners supports the CMH Junior Council and Pediatric AIDS Research

CHICAGO, IL  March  12, 2010 --  Each year, the Junior Council of Children's Memorial Hospital holds a large fundraising event in Chicago known as Snowball, which is the largest black tie event in Chicago for young professionals. The purpose is to raise money for pediatric  HIV & AIDS  research at the hospital. TradingPartners has supported the efforts as a corporate sponsor for three years.  

Chief People Officer for TradingPartners, Michelle Joseph, leads the company’s corporate giving programs and is also a volunteer on the Executive Board of the Junior Council.  She states, “TradingPartners is proud to contribute to Snowball  for a third year. We truly value our alliance with the Junior Council of CMH which enables us to support a worthy cause throughout the year. Because of events such as Snowball, local researchers can continue to work towards finding new treatments for pediatric AIDS.”

This year's Snowball event drew 1250 attendees and raised $115,000 for the cause. The event took place at the Navy Pier Grand Ballroom in downtown Chicago. Built in 1916, the venue offered panoramic views of Lake Michigan from an 80-foot domed ceiling. The evening’s festivities included hors d'oeuvre provided by top Chicago restaurants, live entertainment, dancing, and a silent auction.

The Junior Council - an affiliate of Children’s Memorial Hospital (CMH) - is a volunteer organization comprised of young professionals and guided by the belief professed by Children’s: all children need to grow up in a protective and nurturing environment, where each child is given an opportunity to reach his or her potential.
